BTCC BTCC 2011 Season

A disappointing weekend in BTCC.

The Knockhill circuit is really too short and the NA cars had no chance against the Turbos today.

Not content with taking Plato out in race 3, Boardman then caused chaos at the restart by coming to a standstill, which resulted in several cars driving onto each other.

I wouldn't be surprised if he is investigated.

Worst weekend possible for Mat Jackson too, who was the championship leader.
He failed to finish in all 3 races.

Just caught the hilights at stupid o'clock.

All turbos next year please....... :givemestrength:

Naughty Tom Boardman.

Oh and those kerbs!!!! :o

How ironic.

Now Gordon Shedden and the rest are complaining that the NGTC cars are too fast.

So the NA's are complaining about the Turbos and the Turbos are complaining about the NGTC's.

I'll be glad when all this nonsense is finally sorted out.

I think it's a little unfair to be complaining about the NGTC cars, there was only one competitive one all weekend, and that's mostly because Frank Wrathall is a hell of a young driver.
Something does need to be sorted out there though. I feel really sorry for Plato at the moment, it must be so frustrating to work your proverbials off only to get blasted away down every straight

Looks like those changes have had the desired effect, as far as the Chevy's are concerned...

That extra 20kg ballast will come into play later in the races too as the tyres start to go off a little earlier.

A little early to say, the leading cars in the championship have to carry ballast in qualifying too so it's not a pure picture. Less than a second between the top 16 suggests TOCA are doing something right.

Also it may rain at Rockingham tomorrow, an extra factor thrown in.
I'll be glad when all this nonsense is finally sorted out.
Totally agree!!!! The arguing should be done on the track, not to the media and in the paddock.

There's one relationship which is never going to get any better :D

I wonder if the stewards will get involved?

Can you imagine if someone attacked Vettel every time he used the finger...

Personally I don't think the turbo's and NA cars should be in the same race, BTCC was (or should be) a spec series what fucking idiot decided to put turbos in there? (Alan Gow - I'm looking at you)

Not even half way around the first lap and it's already like bumper-cars.

Matt Neal was lucky to recover from hitting Nash in front of him.

I see Tom Boardman was penalised for punting Plato off at Knockhill.

£1,000 fine, 3 points on his license and a 5 place grid drop at the first race today.

Just read also that Neal and Plato were penalised for their altercation yesterday - £1,000 fines, 3 points on their licences, and a suspended 6 place grid penalty, which will last for the rest of the season.
