What a corker of a race. Absolute classic. I can't remember seeing that many (significant) overtakes at Monaco ever.

Also the driving standards of Formula E are often called into question but for the most they were all very well behaved.

just caught up after a busy sporting weekend, that was incredible race. if there is such a thing as motorsport overtake of the yr, mitch evans just won it, incredible pass up the hill to casino square. but great race absoulte classic & Jack Nicholls commentary in the final few laps was just everything, i thought he was going to pass out at the end LOL

sobriety it just shows that F1 cars have outgrown Monaco.

I would say that maybe its a sign of things to come in F1, 2022. when the cars are easier to follow & overtake, hopefully back to 1.8m same as the Formula E cars. was interesting that there was a 23mph difference in qualifying laps

What I found really interesting in the Monaco E-Prix is just how wide Monaco looks like for Formula E cars - F1 cars are just too fast for Monaco, and Formula E cars are just the right size, and more to the point, speed, for the circuit.

Monaco actually seemed a bit too large for the Formula E cars - many of the circuits are much narrower than Monaco - which is really surprising when you look at how narrow Monaco seems in F1!

I like the Nouvelle chicane like that.... Could they keep that for the F1?

wehrlein drive was outstanding 1 of great dominant drives ive seen in Formula E. he was in different league to everyone today

but then on the 2nd half wehrlein pen must be a slam dunk not declaring the tyres apparently, how i dont know because there is only 1 set of tyres, you can run on anything else :dunno:

Formula E had big own goal here. because to Disqualified a driver soon as he crosses the line feels wrong & givesa bad feeling in my stomach. because if tyre error was as severe, as it appears to be. he shouldve been black flagged during the race as they obvious knew he was dead man walking with 15 mins to go. so you do the decent thing

The rejoin from attack mode activation is a bit of a joke here… two cars now taken out by other cars when rejoining.
Really bad design to be honest - which is kind of odd as this is about the only one that has been specifically designed for the purpose! Back to the drawing board on that one.

Not sure what to make of the DQ. Rules are rules but not sure why it wasn't noticed a lot earlier than it was.

I enjoyed the race I guess but doubt it will be one that lives in the memory.

1 thing that i struggle with on this series is that the championship is meaningless until we get finale. because very rarely is the championship challengers ever in the mix for a podium. i think i 9 races so far only sam bird (italy race 1) nick de vries (Valencia race 1) finished on the podium. while being in the top 5. its get really confusing because its only championship where the championship winner races mainly outside of the top 10 & ive no idea which car is the best. even with success ballast in BTCC, the Cream rises to the top with Ingram Turkington & sutton finishing with regular podiums & wins

Vergne had a shocking season, but is only 22pts off the lead in 10th & de vries has scored 2pts in 4 races, yet is 13pts points off in 6th

I actually think that's what makes the series unique. It's all about coming through the field and being in striking distance come the end of the year. Easy to lead from the front but once you've took your chances you've got to keep scoring

There are teams and drivers that are really good at it. There is a reason a Teechetah driver has won the championship 3 years in a row. They know how to manage it. It's also the reason Audi have not dominated and Merc are slipping away this year. They aren't set up for it. Some drivers are great at it. Bird is always coming through the field for instances.

Personally I enjoy seeing the top drivers have to deal with scraping a good quali and having to come through to grab as many points as they can. Now Mortra has hit the front I'm interested in seeing whether he can keep in the title race under more difficult circumstances. Also I'm interested that Rene Rast is going quietly under the radar but is def a contender.

It may not be everyone's cup of tea but I think it's a fun different thing to watch. I've got F1 if I want to watch the top two drivers in the top two positions all the time unless there is an accident.

Seen race 1, which was very interesting for something which appeared to be taking place on a kart track. Haven't watched race 2 yet, something to keep me entertained between football matches.

I too enjoy the unpredictability of the formula. I also like the fact that when a team is punished they look a bit miffed but get on with the next race, unlike some formulas which seem to have their legal department on speed dial.
