Michael Schumacher

The Vettel thread surprised me as such that when I searched for a Schumacher thread, I could not find one. So I propose this thread for Schumacher because regardless of your opinion whether his return is succesful or not, I think we can all agree that there's always something to talk about whether he's had a good or bad race.
Historical Discussion may be allowed on the thread as long as it's on topic.
Enjoy! :)

Sounds more like a bodge solution to a major problem they struggled to solve, I’m sure Mercedes would rather not have to put an extra device on the car to close the DRS when others didn’t have to, extra weight, not to mention the risk of forgetting to use it and going into a corner with it still open.

Yeah sounds too me like Merc installing a system to fix an error in design more than anything else - sounds like they had a lot of problems with that car last year which could be why the new one is not being launched until later this time round.

Will be very interested to see how close they can get this year - and has anyone noticed that the quicker that Merc gets the better Schumie's form gets?

At Spa the Merc had its straight line speed which inabled it too challenge the front 3 teams more than they had in previous races - highest finisher at Spa? Schumie 5th

Monza - same as Spa the straightline speed and set up put the Mercs closer to the front 3 teams - highest finisher? Schumie 5th.

so thats 3.

The only other race Merc looked closer to the front 3 was China and to give him his credit it was Rosberg who got the result that day.

So 3 out of 4.

Wasn't a criticism to be honest. I'm just suggesting that the day Merc do turn up to a race with a car that can get a win or a podium don't be surprised if its Schumi rather than Nico that gets it

More like MHBTTU (Michael has bothered to turn up)

I rememeber it was a bit like that in 05 when he knew the Ferrari didn't have a chance of winning he used to just drift off somewhere
