Head To Head Jenson Button vs Lewis Hamilton

Who has beaten Lewis for ranting? I thought it was demonstrating that it wasn't a 'communication' it was a rant and fair play. Those claiming it wasn't are acting as though ranting is a weakness.

If there is something i do love it is a rant about ranting brought about by someone's rant about a rant. LOL

It's natural to have outbursts like that when you've done everything right and the stakes are so high. It's better than bottling it up for the race and putting it in a gravel trap massive tarmac run-off area.

It seems as though all Lewis had to do, is question the pitwall on the radio, and with some that becomes a rant.

Over here in the states, Lewis communicated to the pitwall during the 2010 Australian GP that his tires were going off, and believe me if Lewis went into any rant while communicating to his team, it wouldn't have taken a minute for SPEED's commentator Steve Matchett to inform his audience regarding Lewis's actions.

Sorry lewymp4 but you need to buy the review on DVD and listen to the whole thing. I think the exact thing goes a bit like this:

"Who's effing call was it to bring me in? I tell you what guys I think you've lost me the race my tyres were fine. Why are we stopping twice when everyone else is doing once? This is a fricking stupid call"

I'm afraid whoever it was that would have said that it would have classed as a rant. Nothing to do with it being Lewis.

Please note I never said it wasn't a justified rant.

Still, let's use this one example to beat Hamilton with and ignore all the other instances.

Arggghh I wasn't beating Hamilton with it I was just saying that race was the start of the Jenson/Lewis wars.

How to close this can of wor,s I've opened by accident!??!

I wasn't specifically referring to you RasputinLives, but this isn't the first time this particular radio message has been discussed and Hamilton lambasted for it, again not that you were.

Let's not forget, it's in FOM's interest to selectively broadcast messages, for various reasons. They've been doing it for years.

At the beginning of Oz 2010, first corner...Alonso spun/or got tipped round......Button was right behind him. LH went wide onto to the grass..allowing Button to get round FA. Lewis was now in front of JB...who then got past hiim. Lewis re took the place & JB started going backwards. He decided to pit & change his tyres, Ted Kravitz was in the McLaren garage & said ...that was a late call from Jenson, he's just come in and the team weren't ready for him...
LH had track position, but Button just went in.This was to prove a very lucky but unfair? tactic that helped JB win the race.
LH went inwhen the team told him to...& was going well...until he realised that the cars in front of him were not going to make another stop...as he had been told to do....hence the rant...then for good measure Mark shunted him off, he managed to get back on track but had lost a further two places...through no fault of his own....I was 'fricking' fuming...rant...I felt like doing more than that.
Pre podium Martin Whitmarsh was ...extoling the wonderment of JB & his wonderous decision. When interviewed JB had said it was a no-brainer...he had lost several places, so decided to try something....he had nothing to lose.
But it has given Coulthard something to trill about..whenever he gets a chance.

The driver in front has the call at Mclaren. If Jenson Button just went in,he wasn't giving Lewis the opportunity to pit first. Pitting first can allow you to jump other cars, the undercut.

He went in AFTER Hamilton had chosen to drive past. button chose not to drive past.... Or do you think that the driver who's ahead should be able to prevent the other driver from pitting all the way through the race?

Exactly my thoughts when LH was behind JB in another race & wanted to come in for tyres...but JB didn't want to come in until the next lap, so LH had to stay out for two more laps & lost a place to FMassa.
This is one of the reasons that IMO JB is selfish.
And of course when JB has track position......his mate Coulthard is going into verbal overdrive on the Beeb...saying hamilton does not have tp etc. He conveniently doesn't notice when LH is not being given the same

This is the same David Coulthard who said if he was F1 team boss one of his drivers would be Lewis Hamilton !

I didn't think when there was an arrangement in place that the other driver should just disregard it. If he just dived in there he didn't give Hamilton chance to make the choice.

F1ang-o why do you blame Button for something the team did? Have you any proof that Button called the team up and told them not to let Hamilton to pit until he gave permission?

But racecub Button was in and out again over a minute before Hamilton got to the pit lane entry. I just feel that you are letting your anti-Button sentiment cloud your normally excellent postings.
