I agree Keke but its strange how when Webber announced his retirement we heard so many people say how great he was. People can't have it both ways.

Unfourtunatly when someone wins as often as Seb people will find a reason to slate him as not being as good as he's showing. Its always been the way in the F1 season.

For instance the 2003 F1 seasons would be remembered as one of the true classic seasons if it hadn't been won by Schumacher. But because he did its classed as being during a boring and predictable period of F1.

I think you can prob say same for 2010 and last season too.

RasputinLives

If you have not read Helmut has said Red Bull will aim to make a decision during the summer and need two drivers able to deliver the constructors championship and able to do the hard work with team and not see it as joining another top team complacency

... that seems to be a slight dig at Kimi who does not want to decide yet and is not willing to do promos

he also made a dig at Ferrari for only backing Alonso for the drivers title and not bothering with the constructors

Helmut has more influence on the drivers bar Dietrich at Red Bull. Like I said he could not get rid of Webber himself but through gradually putting the odds against Webber to force him out

guess who is given a Red Bull young driver test - Ricciardo !

Helmut's driver programme policy has only fielded one successful graduate - Vettel

Klein did not impress when he could not beat Uncle David

Liuzzi and Speed did not do enough to graduate for 2007 so Red Bull went outside and originally wanted Montoya because he would appeal to the US market because of his Indy car years but DC vetoed him and that ended his career

Flavio sneaked in with Webber and Renault deal
--------------------------------------

Since then Helmut has been pushing for STR drivers to be promoted, he thought Jaime and Buemi were not good enough and dropped them despite not having the resources or the Newey chassis that Vettel /STR enjoyed.

We've established a long time ago that Flav has not had anything to do with Renault engines for a long long time so not sure why you keep pushing that one.

RasputinLives

Flav negotiating a double earner for himself and offering cheaper Renault engines than Ferrari back then and offering Webber as a driver

Webber got the drive because that time Red Bull did not have any outstanding junior drivers who were ready to step up or impressive . Flavio saw the opportunity for himself there and was able to rescue Webber's career

But Flav had nothing to do with Renault engines. Hasn't since the days of Merchrone in 2000.

Ricciardo's tryout got off to a rough start today. But let's face it, the only way he gets the seat anyway is if Kimi turns it down.

KekeTheKing

Please read what Helmut said about who should partner Vettel this past Monday

http://www.grandprix.com/ns/ns25869.html

I guess he thinks Kimi might milk Red Bull like he did with Ferrari on silly wages but Kimi said he drove his best in 2009 but the car was not good but Luca saw this supposed lazy attitude compared to the workman like Schumacher

Helmut has visions that Kimi is going to be a lazy :censored: and suggested he won't tolerate it

As reliable as pitpass, wikipedia and chinadaily are I'm sorry but I refuse to believe that a company the size of Renault would allow a deal that links their hard earned brand with another to be left to an employee. He may have been at the meetings but the suggestion he set the whole thing up is a bit like saying Borris Johnson got London the Olympics.
