Le Mans Le Mans and the WEC

It's unusual for a car with such a driving lineup to still be running at this point, isn't it? I notice the KCMG car is still plodding around too.

MORNING. What a lovely sleep (sorry). Looks like no major dramas or position changes at the front over night. :tea:
Respect for doing the all-nighter guys. What was the 39 car doing exactly please?

Morning. Car 39 was having rather too many adventures, being a mobile chicane, rather dangerous IMHO. The team went a bit keystone cops, pit crew falling over. They also let the car leave the pits without one of the rear lights not working and got away with that for a good couple of hours (during which he spun some more!).

As well as more tyre protection, I wonder if a faster Safety Car would reduce the number of restart accidents. Obviously bearing in mind that the GT field have to be able to keep up with it!

Onteresting you should mention that it was something mentioned by on Radio Le Mans and one of the GT drivers (can't remember who it was) said he had trouble with his tyres because he couldn't keep up with the safety car!:D

EditL I have to say though I'm glad I I've got access to internet feeds. Eurosport would have been intolerable on its own.
