Whilst I understand the practical reasons for the two week limit, it is nice to see that page full up. Would it be too complicated to make the two week limit only kick in when that page is full?

Edit: Another thought, could one or two exceptional threads get pinned to it for extended period?

Do you mean the feature duration?
That can be set individually per thread, when featuring or updating.

Yup, with regard to my afterthought I did so you've answered my question on that one. My first thought was really just about landing in the site and only seeing a couple of featured threads and an empty space (and or ad's). It's been really handy and quite enjoyable to check the featured threads page out before getting stuck into the usual threads I visit. I think it turned out to be one of the most visible ugrades that is welcoming and interesting to new and casual visitors to the site.

I have just finished working on version 2,2 and the beta is currently running here.

Now there is the ability to upload a custom icon when featuring a thread, as can be seen here: http://cliptheapex.com/threads/featured

Custom icons have been set to twice the size of avatars.

teabagyokel's thread has had a custom icon applied.

I have added some new features.

Most of them won't be visible to end users as they involve bug fixes and query counts, etc.

I can't help feeling that most members couldn't give a shit about this feature, but I am selling lots of licenses so that's something

I have added a few more features and functions and as such, the index page has once again been set to the featured threads.

The difference this time is there is a focussed [Home] tab with the same links found below the [Forums] tab.
The fact that the content now supports all BB Code, videos, images, etc. also makes it much more interesting than plain text.

This is primarily to showcase the add-on while I promote the new features.
