2021 Silly Season

What about Jenson and Rubens? Never saw much in the way of aggro between them.

would that be a anomaly because of the circumstances. that Rubens & JB couldn't believe their luck. they went from potentially career over to testing when they realised we could win Australian GP, in 6 weeks

also in 2014 lewis & nico were friendly you contrast Bahrain 2014 with mexico 2016. I even think prost & senna got on in 1988. but as the rivalry between the drivers goes on the relationships sours

yeah i remember vettel being the big danger in 2009. but Barrichello was better than i thought he was only 14pts behind going into Brazil so who knows but for Rubens cursed home race & converted the pole into a win Barrichello couldve been 4pts behind going into abu Dhabi finale

there was some grumbling out of Rubens after Barcelona, where he felt Button had been prioritised...

There was further grumbling when Barrichello only finished well down in the points near Button at the Ring after leading the race where he accused his team of screwing his race. Rubens was always mentally weak

When you consider the engine supplier maker, not a surprise, Honda have always tried and succeeded to have a Japanese drive in any team the heavily finance until proved not up to the job, that has proved difficult a few times, i.e Honda not accepting their failings.

Honda may have finally found their japanese driver. as it looked like masuishita missed the boat. i agree from what ive seen tsunoda looks very good in F2

yeah doesnt help the rumours when you see marko & Honda engine bloke. together under the podium.

odds on verstappen winning the 2021 season opener. after all we know the pattern kyvat dumped max wins ;)

So Vettel to Racing Point, Hulkenberg and Perez to Haas. RoGro and Magnussen out on their ear.

It's all a bit dull isn't it?

In other news the quiet death of the independent racing team and actual competition in F1 continues. If Racing Point's car is deemed legal this season (and it appears it has been) Red Bull are now saying that the Alpha thingy will be identical to their lead car too

Of course Ferrari will follow suite with Alfa too (if they haven't already). This basically monopolise the grid. No longer can a team join the grid and work it's way up by winning the midfield battle and earning more and more prize money (and a rep) meaning they can eventually put a challenge to the top teams. There will be 12 cars in the top league meaning it will be achievement to even get points.

Of course the argument they will use is that having 6 top teams means we'll have more racing at the front. However we all know the B Teams are not allowed to beat the A-Teams. It's not happened and it never will. Don't believe them when they say it.

big departure from red bull as the Toro Rosso /alpha tauri has never been the same car with different paint job & engine. imagine if they had done that, lets say 2008 vettel couldve won his 1st race

oh wait :D

but it is sad that minnows are going but thats due the costs look at haas they paying 130m a season to be 2nd slowest car on the track. 20yrs ago that was title winning money

what a front running team needs to look a getting a stronger teammate. to release the full potential. good job its only red bull. lewis wouldn't know anything about completely destroying a teammate week after week & only 1 driver getting the full potential of a car

F1Brits_90 Its mind games working both internally and externally if you think about it

Red Bull are not doing well as they should because they are not giving Albon a chance or at least getting more competitive teammate to push Verstappen like Ricciardo

Whilst Bottas is clearly not operating at the same level consistently to him but well enough to keep Verstappen at bay for now but if Red Bull did give Albon a fair chance then it is likely that Bottas would be the one losing points more often than not
