Football 2011/12 Football Season

Well Harry's God like status at Spurs has sure taken a nose dive hasn't it? How many people phoning into 606 tonight calling for his head?

Back in the real world Scummers lost ROFL and Pompey managed a draw at home with Cardiff, not too bad but another season of mid-table mediocrity looms.

Modric is a m'kay player, I think Vd Vaart is better technically and 'Arry refuses to cash in big, how stupid. Watch Modric leave for like 15m now instead of 30m.

Luka is a much better player than Rafa, both technically and, particularly, his work rate. 'Arry clearly would love to sell him, it's the chairman who is refusing, and rightly so. Modric knew he was attracting the attention of big clubs earlier this year when he signed a five-year contract. That was the time to request a move, but no, he was quite happy to take a pay rise. His attitude so far this season is doing him no credit.

Nonsense. On what do you base that, exactly?

'Arry is a pain in the neck. He loves the sound of his own voice and patience is running thin with some of his decisions.

You have spent ridiculous amounts of money in the last two seasons, and this whole ownership/funding business is totally dodge.

Arsenal for relegation8-)

It is a shocking team, and Wenger's refusal to buy names is haunting him now. Who the hell is Chamberlain and who spends 12m on that crud?

I am miffed we dropped two points against them.

8-2....was flabbergastered when I heard that result.

What happened Man ushited to strong? I looked at the results before the sending off it looked lik 4-2? Not bad when you are away and with a dody team.

Holy moley

First Spurs get hammered 5-1 at home to Man City and now Arsenal get hammered 8-2 away to Man U. Personally can't see the premier league title going anywhere other than Manchester this season. Big question is will it go to the blue side or the red side?

Wolves are a good side, expect them to be well safe a month before the season ends.

My team Boro we're unbeaten in something like 7 or 8 games.

La Liga is also finally back :), looking forward to the fight for the final two CL spot. Malaga, Sevilla, Valencia, Atletico and Villarreal should all be in the hunt behind the top two.

Ok I'm a Man Utd. fan and I know we've spent big money on players over the years (net spend £11.5mil per season since 2006), but the difference between Man Utd., Arsenal, Liverpool and all the rest to City and Chelsea is that the money they spend is based on the sucess of the club with a lot of Man Utd's recent success built on the home-grown group of Scholes, Beckham, Neville etc.

Simply not true in so many ways!

How are Boro doing? Uefa cup final....then after that downhill, someone told me they got relegated from the championship :dunno:

Nope we didn't get relegated from the Championship, very nearly did though. If Strachan had been the manager still i think we would have. But local lad Tony Mowbray came back to the club and saved us. We're doing ok at the moment 4th in the Championship after 5 games and unbeaten. Don't think we'll get promoted this season but we'll fingers-crossed be involved in and around the spots for the play-offs.

Only McManus, Robson and McDonald have survived from the Strachan era. Now we're focusing on bringing young kids through. Look out for Luke Williams in the future, also Rhys Williams is our potential star and we need to keep him for the future of our club.

Sly which club do you support?

McManus? He was a good player for Celtic.

I don't really support anyone I used to like Juventus, still do, hard to catch their matches. I like Arsenal, Tottenham and Wolves from the premier league.
