Nice enough car, if a little Beetle-fronted, perhaps.

But what a terrible livery. They've got more examples than anyone of how to do it right.

I wonder how much frontal area and drag those hideous, near-vertical front fender leading edges produce. They appear about as aerodynamic as a barn!

I wonder how it would look in the JW (Gulf) racing livery.

Strange:o. It's probably the least elegant Porsche I've ever seen:sick:. One has to wonder "how and why?" Have all of Porsche's best designers retired or died off? Did the HR dept' screw the up the recruitment process? WTF?:dizzy:

Edit: PS - had I seen that profile shot earlier I'd not have "liked" Greenlantern101 's post! No offense GL :D

As one is indeed entitled to like something. Beauty is after all in the eye of the beholder. In fact, I too liked it from the photo you posted but the profile really sucks. It just doesn't look right aerodynamically and to me it's just, um, un-Porsche. Sorry and all that ...

Porsche took a podium on their World Endurance Championship LMP1 debut yesterday in a rain-shortened Silverstone Five-and-a-half Hours. The car shared by Timo Bernhard, Mark Webber and Brendon Hartley finished third, two laps behind the winning Toyota of Anthony Davidson, Nicolas Lapierre and Sebastien Buemi. The second Toyota was a lap off the lead in second place, while both Audis retired after separate accidents.

Maybe it's because of the quality of the image but I'm finding it quite difficult to spot the Audis from the Porsches.

I hope the porsches can get their reliability sorted out. It was a good fight between Davidsons Toyota and the lead Porsche until the porsche lost power with 'hybrid issues' The Audis look 3rd best at the moment. BUT 24hr race is a different kettle of fish. 6 weeks till Lemans.

Second win in a row for Ant and Buemi, well done chaps.

This should be an epochical Le Mans. Audi, Porsche AND Toyota hammering at each other. I can hardly wait!!

Allthough I have always been a huge fan of Porsche, I think I will have to back Audi this year. I am NEVER willing to bet against Joest Racing and, of course, the greatest Le Mans driver of all time : Tom Kristensen! I am afraid that I will have somewhat divided loyalties this year, however. The upside is that, as long as either of those two teams win, I will be a happy camper.
