For those of a certain age you will remember the iconic (?) blue and white Parmalat Brabham BT49 which Nelson Piquet (and some other blokes) drove in the early 80's but here it is in a livery many of you aren't likely to have seen when it debuted at the Canadian GP in 1979 in the Parmalat Brabham "Alfa Romeo" colours.

After reading that stat Keke I had to go check that as I couldn't remember J J Lehto ever being on the podium but it turns out he put a Judd powered Dallara on the 3rd spot of the podium at San Marino in 1991! After coming through Pre-Qualifying! How have I forgotten that?

Can't quite quite call these "iconic" but I thought it'd be interesting to post a few pics of what, as far as I know, are the only instances of Prost and Senna trying their hand at something other than single-seaters:

Prost competed in the 1982 Rally Du Var:

... though it ended in a crash:

Senna tested a Porsche 962C:

... which he disliked, as he found group C cars too heavy lacking in responsiveness compared too F1, as well as excessively hot inside the cockpit.

there was that demo race before the 1984 European GP with a field of Mercedes 190E's:
