soccerman17 - An active volcano would be right up Tilke's street as the 'feature' his circuits tend to have, e.g. shaped like a character, under lights, a tower or a big hill.
Azerbaijan yes, France no. Another reason I'm loosing interest in F1. Doesn't Bernie realise France was home to the first GP ever held. The man has no appreciation of the sports history, mind you he can't even find his way out of revolving doors.
Potro de los funes (not sure on spelling) is around a volcano, a dormant one mind, and the track looks spectacular. They could employ a bit of a light and magic show to spray molten lava.
With modern technology the cars could be put in front of any background you want. I think that a Hawaiian volcano running into the sea would be good. But to be honest I would rather see an exciting race with a dull background.

I've seen Potrero de los Funes before and it looks unbelievable. I watched some of the FIA GT race held there on YouTube once and the racing looked pretty entertaining too!
Its almost twice the length of Monaco. Would FOM have enough cameras to cover the extra length? They would also need almost twice the normal amount of marshals. Can't see that happening.
If they did ever race there though they would have to make sure Maldonado's car comes complete with buoyancy aids or make sure he's wearing armbands at least!
I wonder when Bernie will add Syria and Ukraine to the list? In the former, the cars could spend the race dodging air strikes and in the latter, all of the marshalls would be wearing ski masks and speaking Russian (although having a second Russian GP might not be allowed).
