Football 2010-11 Football Season

Very interesting and utterly dispicible of course. Of course, I don't know what match was involved, but looking at the Russian League on Saturday, I found a match which fitted the pattern the reporter is describing. I'm going to exercise discretion apart from pointing you to this page, but its a major problem in the East of Europe especially, and I just hope and prey that it doesn't come to England.

Of course, it is nothing new.

Ooh, that was fun. Seems some managers suffer without referee picking, doesn't it?

It means there is no Italian Champion for 2005, funnily enough. Just like there is no French champion for 1993 since PSG refused the title.

What stuck in my craw was AC Milan dancing around their ban and entering the 2006-07 European Cup. And guess who won it?

If they didn't though, maybe we'd see more of this:

FACT!

I've decided that a quiet season of mid-table mediocrity whilst Pompey rebuild might not be such a bad idea.

Contrary to any of previous posts in this thread that may have inferred differently, I'm not a superstitious man...

Unfortunately I couldn't be at the game today, so I listened to the radio Bristol Commentary. I wore my Bristol City Fleece, but only because it was cold you understand. Not for any other reason!

Apparently, Bristol City Played well. Ok, it could be construed as lucky for City to get two penalties in the first 15 or so minutes and for Sheffield Utd to go down to 10 men, but ho hum, that's just opinion. I'm sure the penalties were stonewall certainties and a two footed challenge warrants a red card... :victory:

BCFC up to 17th in the league.

Onwards and upwards!

Leeds fought back after a shocking display from the ref meant Palace went ahead. 2 goals in 5 mins from Becchio and 3 more points for Leeds!

Once again Leeds fightback from a certain losing position to gain 3 points. This has left them in a scary looking place in the league, only 1 win away from an automatic promotion spot. I just hope we can get a few more points before xmas so we can be certain to avoid relegation once we start our usual January to March slide.

First win for Pompey at Carrow Road for 23 years :chuffed:

The topsy turvey season continues and David Nugent had a good game :dunno:

Leeds 3-3 Pompey

Man of the match (from Pompey's perspective) Andy O'Brien for scoring two own goals :snigger: Well done him.

2nd game in a row we've throw away a 2 goal lead. I have nothing more to say on the subject

3rd Round FA Cup.

Almost a replay of last year's giant killing exploits. The Leeds v Arsenal match was a tale of 2 penalties. The 1st one for Leeds was obvious and they held on to their 1-0 lead almost to the end.

Arsenal got a penalty just before 90 mins. Harsh call but fair, just the smallest of tugs on Walcotts arm who didn't do the usual prima donna footballing trick of falling to the ground clutching his ankle.

1-1 was a fair result but I feel Leeds did enough to deserve the win, we'll enjoy their visit to Elland Road and the money it brings to the club.
