The thing is, I actually always thought the Lotus 107 looked quite good! (Ok, so I might be alone there), but that's just my opinion! Certainly, the sight of Herbert scrapping with Schumacher in the 1993 Brazillian GP in that car was a sight to behold!
I think the problem with the 107 was that is was very different from the rest. Not sure if the shorter airbox was an advantage with aero? Think it was a shame we never really saw the 109's full potential.
Small detail but that is the 107b, the 107 from a year earlier had a slightly less offensive paint scheme, although by no means does not deserve a place in this thread.
Ladies and gentlemen, I give you the Mercedes W03, it has a steppy nose - sort of - it's silver (ish). Low to no downforce, c'mon Nico and Schuey - Monza and Spa will be a breeze in this! What a beauty......
God, I hope not - didn't the Lancia D50 have fuel tanks hung on the side as well? I assume no-one took account of the (high) probability of being T-boned?
I reckon those are the fuel tanks. Look in this shot, there's no space for a fuel tank between the driver and the engine and there are holes in the tops which look like fuel fillers.
