Your "point of view" is apparently that a one-man drivers' championship battle is equally as boring as a two-man drivers' championship battle if one team is (a) dominant and (b) not involved in many one-on-one scraps, even given that the one-man championship battle won nine races in a row barely challenged.

I could not realistically disagree more, since that viewpoint strains the bounds of logic.

Got to agree largely with Meph on this one.... A two car/man battle is more interesting that a one car/man demonstration but you still know either A or B will win. What we really what we all want to see is a four car/man battle at the front if not more.... After all there are 22 cars out there and 20 of them should not be simply for decoration!

You need to look at the big picture. Because fans, Bernie and the FIA keep clamouring for change and increased profits the rules keep changing and the costs keep increasing. They and we keep getting exactly the opposite of what we want. Were we and they to pause and do nothing the laws of diminishing returns would start to take effect. Costs would go down, the smaller teams would catch up and the fans would see drivers battling one another for Championships.

As long as everyone continues on the stream of knee jerk reactions and chasing the twin tail of cost cuts and increased spectacle, costs will go up and the spectacle will decline. Toaist master Lao Tsu said: "Do nothing and everything will be done."
