Explain please?

Could someone please tell me what on earth this is sticking out of the F10?

Is it an aero testing instrument? (like the meccano seen on last years McLaren during testing) Is it a sail to make the f10 go faster?

I'm stumped

I have always suspected that it is a radio mast, so that the test team can monitor the car in real time, with the minimum of data loss. There was a time when data was sent in packets when the car past the pits, I don't know if that is still the case. What I do know is that onboard cameras suffer moderate and severe interference and loss of picture at certain points on most circuits.
