Bernie in real danger this time?

Bernie's defence is that Gribkowsky was threatening to spill the beans on Ecclestone's personal tax arrangements to HMRC. So, he says, he paid the man the cash to shut him up even though, he says, the allegations were untrue.

http://www.pitpass.com/48714-Ecclestone-not-being-investigated-for-tax-evasion - you have to read pitpass with a certain filter turned on, but there is no doubt that Sylt has privileged access to Bernie.

I don't know if he will go to prison, but there is a chance that all this attention on Bernie and his tax avoidance schemes will come back to bite him and the planned floatation of F1. The business model that they are trying to float depends on the type of schemes that governments are now clamping down on.... http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/...mula-One-drives-its-tax-rate-down-to-5pc.html

Which Greeks? The ones who don't support their nation by paying taxes or the poor buggers who did all the work and are left behind to carry the can?, Sorry. I s'pose that's a one liner for the politics thread.
