Williams had an ERS issue on the last day I think. Also, the issues McLaren had were small hydraulics and coolant leaks in difficult to reach places. Enough to lose a lot of testing time but probably not difficult to fix.

Essentially, Honda seem to have another slow, unreliable, engine.

Since this is not the race engine it is immaterial what it is like. What is shown is that the small number of test days is unhelpful for the teams that need it most. Had there been no testing days Mercedes would have been in an even stronger position.

If the only thing you can talk about at Mclaren is they covered more miles than last year then really I'd be wondering how low their expectations are given their reputation and the drivers they've got

they might have solved the ERS issue but it cannot hide the fact they were they don't appear to have closed the gap to Mercedes. Its all well doing aero testing but surely put in a few hot laps and find the ultimate pace of the car would be useful

I very much doubt Mclaren Honda will repeat 1988 season this year when both Senna and Prost was not comfortable with MP4/4 until the final test and the rest was history

It would be very useful if they were using the same engine they intend running in Melbourne. I'm sure you'll get your wishes of some hot laps by the end of the next test. They're not testing to please our curiosity, they're testing to learn, you need to be patient.
