If you're bored and want to be more so, pick your last 11 years Champions League winners teams' team. The aim of the game is to pick the best possible team from the Champions League winners of the last 11 years using only one player from each team (assuming all are at their prime) Don't use the same player twice!. The eligible players are those who played in the finals, namely:

So you can use used substitutes (such as Sulley Muntari) but not unused subs (such as Mario Ballotelli). The columns are indicatve of position and do not use squad number; the top two played 3 centre halfs and 2 wing backs, the rest didn't. And yes, Pique was accompanied at centre half by Yaya Toure and Javier Mascherano in Barca's last two UCL finals!

My team?

1: Oliver Khan (2001)
2: Carles Puyol (2006)
3: Roberto Carlos (2002)
4: Xabi Alonso (2005)
5: Lucio (2010)
6: Paulo Maldini (2003)
7: Deco (2004)
8: Clarence Seedorf (2007)
9: Xavi (2009)
10: Lionel Messi (2011)
11: Cristiano Ronaldo (2008)

Erm... captain? Has to be Maldini!

I don't see why there needs to be such a long delay until the trial, has a reason been stated? I can't see how any new evidence can appear...

It's a bit harsh on Terry if it turns out he did nothing wrong but it is the right decision I think. Also, based on his performances this year I'm not sure he even deserves to be a regular starter for England any more. The Chelsea defence has been pretty iffy...

Back to the on pitch matters.

I'm very Proud, but gutted Boro fan. We did so so well over the two legs it's a bit hard to take especially when we've taken the to 210 mins.

Plus our kid's better not get pinched in the Summer because there the life and soul of this very proud football club.

I know how you feel mate, nearly everyone that I support loses in a crappy way, could list many examples!

As long as Boro keep Haruuuuuun! They'll be going places :).

2-1 is such a flattering scoreline for Liverpool, 4-1 would be more accurate of what the match was like!

Suarez is just a pillock and I think the continuing refusal of the Liverpool players, management and fans (Evra was booed at Anfield) to admit that he's done something wrong even after he was charged is pretty bad form too. For example, this snippet from a BBC article:

"Suarez is a disgrace to Liverpool Football Club," said United manager Ferguson. "He should not be allowed to play for Liverpool again. He could have caused a riot."
Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish responded: "I think you're bang out of order to blame Luis Suarez for anything that happened here today."

Really Kenny? Ferguson's comments are a bit over the top but Suarez needs to be told how to behave.

Dalglish's interview then went on to blame "24 Hour News" for the whole lot which apparently wasn't there at the Cup tie a fortnight ago. Now, I reckon Sky Sports News has been on for 20 years, myself, but anyway there has been one other issue in the news this week.

I'm not saying Evra is a saint, but he's done nothing wrong in this instance. However, the behaviour of Suarez is contemptible, whilst Dalglish and Liverpool have not just been content with crossing the line once, but also to spurn every chance of redemption like their strikers in front of goal this season.
