Just noticed there's a 4 week gap between Hungary and Valencia, possibly the 2 most boring GP's on the calendar.

So effectively that means we'll have to wait from the German GP on 12 July until 30 August before we see another decent GP (Spa) :(

That's going to be a long 7 weeks...

Seven weeks without any racing?

We hardly get that much in the off-season these days. Hopefully Montreal can be reinstated, and obviously France simply must return as soon as possible, albeit preferably at a new venue.

Given that Bernie part owns Paul Ricard you would have thought that he would have had a ready made option. I'd be interested to see how F1 cars ran on the Le Mann Circuit again. One things for sure any where in France would be an improvement on Magny.

Cananda will be the biggest loss next season. I think there is little hope of it being re-instated but we never know.

Well, it seems to me that Bernie should bite the bullet and promote the French GP at Paul Ricard (Which is up to F1 standards, due to the testing circuit, but currently has no grand stands), and either hold it the week before or the week after Silverstone.

If held the week before, the Silverstone weekend would be pushed a week later
(France 21st June, Silverstone 28th June), but also push Nurburgring and Budapest a week later, so cutting the 4 week gap down to a 3 week gap.

However, it is a big gamble holding Silverstone on the 21st, as this historically has a much higher probability of being wet than the second week in July!.... Unless this is what Bernie is trying to achieve!

Still, it could be worse - they could be trying to hold it over Easter weekend!
