Things ... Welcome to the Future (2018 - 2019 Silly Season)

1995 was pretty good in Scotland, burnt my a:censored:se when I rolled over and it rested on the boats hull at 10am.due to the suns heat when on a bouy off Rothsey, at least 2 months of 25 deg plusLOL

My sister did something similar, she went on a metal slide in the middle of the afternoon that had been in full sun on a hot sunny day. I probably laughed, well wouldn't you?

on the 2019 line up, ill try a few mid season predictions to see how right or wrong I am :D
  • I wouldn't be surprised to fukusumi the Honda youth driver from F2 promoted into the 2nd seat at toro rosso. because it suits both parties, Honda get their own driver in & red bull get out of a hole as they have got no one to fill that seat
  • Alonso for me, this is his final year in F1 & I think its Lando Norris drive to lose, because no big driver is going to McLaren as its a shambles at the moment. & Norris saves them money
  • Leclerc will be off to Ferrari & kimi retires
  • If Riccardio leaves & that's a big IF because I think he will stay as everything seeming locked. then we could see Artem Markelov get a promotion to Renault with Sainz going back to the main red bull team
  • The only 1 thing I'm struggling to place is like I said on F2 thread George Russell, took abit of adapting in 1st 3 races but has been brilliant since leading the championship by 10 points with 2 poles, 4 wins & a 2nd in next 9 races. as if Bottas is staying that locks Force india as Ocon & Perez wont leave. so maybe Williams at a push but then weirdly the most famous british team dont hire brits wasn't the last british driver jenson Button in 2000

Bold = confirmed, under contract, or pretty damn certain based upon the rumors -- they are just waiting to announce it (i.e. Ricciardo and Sainz). I am guessing that both Haas drivers should also be in bold, but have not confirmed it yet, and I think this is also the case with Ericsson and Sirotkin.

It appears that the only seat unconfirmed about the top teams is the #2 Ferrari seat and both McLaren seats. Not a particularly dramatic silly season.

.

Grosjean would apparently "like to stay at Haas" according to the coverage on Channel 4 today.

That suggests his future is definitely not in his hands.

I have read that Perez is a possible target for Haas, given Force India's current cashflow problems and consequent lack of development parts.

Which would clear a spot at Force India for George Russell and would explain why Grosjean is making 'I'd love to stay at Haas' noises.

Haas is the only destination for Perez given his sponsors and it will appeal to Haas having a North American/ Central American driver to attract more sponsors and get attention stateside

Plus will please Telmex who were backing Ferrari that they have a Mexican driver in a Ferrari powered car

I think Sergio will never drive for Ferrari but he will try to do his best by driving Ferrari powered cars and at the moment Haas is probably the only team he can go to and improve his career still

So I agree with RasputinLives there is a seat for George Russell at Force India which would make that team a Mercedes junior team unless Andretti buys the team which could change things

Alonso I think is going unless there is a dramatic upturn in the 2nd half of the season with the car, Raikkonen is gone from F1

If Leclerc moves to Ferrari from Sauber then the next driver you would think is another Ferrari driver so Giovinazzi unless Perez wants to go back there
