Tennis literally had the perfect setup for match fixing. Dozens and dozens of matches that almost no-one cared about that go by completely unnoticed because of the obscure players involved.
To be honest I have little sympathy for those that lost money betting on the early rounds of any Tennis tourney. Just having the ability to wager on those outcomes invites corruption.
