The Formula One Alphabet Game

U is for Upper Wish Bone. Usually comes with a lower wish bone. Tends to react poorly if slammed into other cars.

(see Schumacher / Hill 1994 Oz GP)

W is for Weaving left and right. - What the drivers do to try and warm up their tyres.

This used to also be seen in previous years by the driver in front to prevent the driver behind from over taking. Unfortunatly it was decieded that this unfairly impacted on Michael Schumachers progress through the field, oops sorry didn't mean that, I meant that this wasn't safe after a few drivers (MR M Schumacher) complained and so you can now only defend your line once.

D is for Drafting - what cars used to do when they popped out into the clean air after following a car closely.*

*No longer applicable

:(

E is for Excitement

What F1 has*

(*in the rain, Montreal, usually Melbourne, often Spa, never Hungaroring, when the grid is messed up & when Ferrari/McLaren make mistakes)

F is for Fifty - The number of race wins that Lotus was the first to achieve.

(interestingly they won 50 in their first 15 years and then only another 23 in the next 21 years)

G is for Gold
