Seems rather obscure tby, but I believe I've found the common thread between those gentlemen and the missing mystery man.

When you include Zsolt Baumgartner, those are all of the men that collected a single point at the US GP held in Indianapolis from 2000-07. (Excluding 2005 of course)

Not what I was looking for Sly, but that's an excellent guess. And technically you're right about the above list, as all of them did partner a WDC at one time. But interestingly, the guy that I did not include in the list was never a teammate of a World Champ. Maybe that piece of the puzzle will help some of you out.
