Round 07 / 19 - Montreal
What a championship we have .... RBR bank a 1-2 at Montreal with the impressive Bottas taking the third step of the podium. McLaren continue their very impressive form with 4th and 5th, and Mercedes sneaking in a 6th ... Sutil, Alonso, Grosjean and Rosberg round out the top 10 ... Given how the actual racing went in Montreal, it is no surprise to see both RBR's and both McLaren's featuring fast stops given the amount of time they lose on a lap the to the Merc's ... RBR in sector 3 ... McLaren ... the other two sectors as well ...
Drivers Championship ... did someone say F1 is boring ... they obviously have no clue what they are talking about ... six different winners in seven races ... the top six in the championship covered by 22pts ... the top five separated by only 12 points .. Alonso squeaks out a little more of a lead over a new second place holder, Vettel, courtesy of his 8th place finish, with Kimi dropping to the 3rd ... Conan, Button and newly minted (no pun intended) Colgate sponsored Ricciardo all bank serious points to close the gap to Alonso ... with Hulk and Massa the best of the rest ... Sutil banks his first points and was quoted as saying it was nice not to pit the car and have to get out of it for a change ...
Constructors Championship ... the gap to Ferrari is closing ... with both RBR and Ron Dennis Auto's taking a good chunk out of their points lead ... an Williams putting a little distance between themselves in fourth and Force India and Mercedes ... back to Ferrari ... since putting the Admin & HR manager in charge of racing affairs things have not gone that well down in the pitlane ... and the new HR manager with the old HR managers blessing has organized a focus group to study the effects of the performance drop off ... though it has been hard to get people released from their current duties to participate .... however, once it was prioritzed by upper management, they have started to make great strides forward ... they have a conference room all set and up are only four weeks away from releasing a draft terms of reference ... the actual actionable results are expected to be released sometime in late November 2014 ...

Drivers Championship ... Fernando extends his lead over Seb and Jenson by a handful of points ... Kimi slipping further down as Marco M has clearly named Alonso as his #1 .... He says, "I'm sure there is a definitive conclusion to be drawn with regard to the Hamilton vs Rosberg Pit Stop Conspiracy but it's all smoke and mirrors right now. It seems we will have to carry on watching F1 whether we like Merc' domination or not!"

There is no truth to the rumour that Nico was trying to gate crash the podium at Silverstone ... though an FIA security guard has claimed that tearful Nico was insisting that he had won the race ... the Fastest Pitstop race that is ... that's right trendsetters ... our very own Rainbow Dash has dragged that unlikely mix of Brit and German lollipoppers and jack-men to victory at Silverstone ... joining him on a makeshift milk crate podium was Chops and Seb .... with young Daniil taking fourth (an amazing trio of Renaults up top!) ... the ever present McLarens of Button and Conan next, followed by Pastor, the Finn with the martini, Lewis and Nando rounding out the points ... it was a race for errors as some teams only made the one stop ... born out by the spread in times ... a full 1.1 seconds across the top 10 ....
