Mark Webber

I'm a little puzzled as to why Webber doesn't have a page in the teams and drivers section, as Webber is a pivotal figure in the story upfront. There are questions that need to be asked. Why can Vettel win, and Webber struggle to get on the podium fighting Ferraris and McLarens? Why is the man that was noted as a good qualifier unable to get near Vettel? Did the leg break in late 2008 do him serious performance damage? and What should Webber do in the near future?

Mark Webber. Over to you...

He's got to keep the weight down for Adrian Newey to work his magic HammydiRestarules. I read an article back in the 80's suggesting that drivers would become like jockeys and it's not far from that. Petrov, Webber and Button look odd compared to all the other vertically challenged pilots.

But surely a Career isn't worth risking your health over. It's awful seeing someone so tall looking underweight. For his health's sake I hope he puts some weight on over Christmas and keeps it on :).

He did let him through mid race without a fight and without prompting from Cilbeam... and got a pretty terse "Thanks Mark" for it...

If it came down to Seb running in 8th and MW in 7th with a lap or two to go, I have no doubt that MW would have been ordered to let him through and he would have... thankfully for all concerned that didn't occur...

Was that the lap that he spun?

LOL

I think he had spun... and a few laps later pitted... Vettel pitted after MW... and emerged from the pits just behind MW ... he caught up with MW within a lap and MW let him by around in the infield ... around turn 7 or 8 I think...

ZakspeedYakspeed - I have no doubt he would have been ordered to, my doubt is whether he actually would have...

If the WDC was (about to be already) decided and he was asked to let SV pass ... say last lap to let SV finish 2nd or 3rd ... then I think MW might have told them what they could do with that...

If it was to permit SV to win the WDC ... 8th to 7th ... then I believe MW would never let them forget it ... and he would do it...

If it was what happened yesterday ... mid race pit stop mid pack position ... he did do it ... and he would never let them forget it...

He already has taken one for the team several times this year... his KERS system was about as reliable as Nelson Piquet's memory this past year...
