Not iconic per se, but I just love the expression on Mika and Schumi's face, just like excited school boys. I know this is the 2000 season, but not sure whether this was taken at Spa (but by the looks of it, maybe they are talking about "that" overtake ...)

It is indeed from Spa and about the overtake.

What's nice about that image Quintessentially is that you can practically make out JYS's face behind the visor.

The Mika/Schumi image earlier looks like two pissed blokes!

Everything in that picture shows what has happened to F1 since those days, most of it bad. Motor racing should be about engineers and drivers in greasy overalls, not manipulating second hand car salesmen in pots of money.

It is indeed Imola '79. A non-championship race before the Italian GP moved there in 1980.

Do you think non championship rounds should make a return? Do you think they could be used as testing venues. You could have a normal race weekend but the emphasis would be on testing new parts as the results wouldn't effect the championship results.

Just a thought. I now await all of the reasons that this is a terrible idea.

It is a great idea, maybe the Young Drivers' Test could include a non-championship race, at Ricard?
Or Pembrey.
