Bahrain GP Debate

Not you, that statement. The sound of financial interests desperately trying to wriggle out of a situation they don't want to be in, but without having the courage to say so directly.

The FIAs report on Bahrain has been leaked.

Get it here: http://avaazpress.s3.amazonaws.com/FIA Bahrain report FULL.pdf

I smell a carefully choreographed whitewash. How convenient that there were a group of "young people" raising a petition for the return of the Grand Prix just at the time the FIA delegation visited the shopping centre (two hours after curfew, yet all was busy and normal... how odd). The big, honking lie in that document, that screams its dishonesty, is the claim that tourism numbers aren't just back to normal levels, but are actually higher now! As to the suggestion that the protesters make their point using the "correct democratic institutions"...

Back in the 80's you could get a T shirt which read FISA + FOCA = FIASCO. Any one care to work on FIA, FOM and FOTA?

I'll start another thread...

How could the WMSC ever reached their decision, when it is clearly stated in regulations that they can only change the calender with full agreement of all teams.
The simple truth is that none of them, the FIA, FOTA and FOM ever expected the storm of criticism they recieved from the press, certainly the fans had a huge affect.
They WRONGLY expected the fans to numbly accept what they decided.
What a bloody farce.

To sum it up, I bet the 2011 Bahrain Grand Prix WILL NOT go ahead., despite the huge number of times that Bernie, the FIA and the teams have changed their minds more times than...err

Does anyone else think that Ecclestones comments are an intentional swipe at the FIA and more particularly Todt?
