Used this quote so many times before but Colin Chapman absolutely nailed it in April 1981.

"If one does not clean it up, Formula 1 will end up in a quagmire of plagiarism, chicanery and petty rule interpretation forced by lobbies, manipulated by people for whom the word sport has no meaning"

I am sure Horner would be moaning if Verstappen got penalised for 'Hard racing'

No because basically rallying / rallycrossing is now accepted as part of F1 because of the stupid run offs where it penalises the driver making the pass but can't because the defensive is allowed to run them off the road and into the car park.

The only person who doesn't seem to take non sense from Verstappen is Piastri when it comes to wheel to wheel. Leclerc, Russell, Norris all need to stop seeing Verstappen as their mate if they want to be world champion

It will just be another fake WDC as far as I'm concerned.

And they wonder why viewing figures and participation has dropped ...

without a doubt, he wouldve been moaning to anyone who listened that Norris Pushed Vertstappen & where is he supposed to go
Simple tweak to the rule you may defend as long as you stay within track limits. Excessive going off track will require to hand the place after 1 warning. Even Schumacher did not resort to off track racing

What I think will be interesting will be scrutineering after the race. If you look at the rear-facing cameras on the Ferraris, not only can you see lots of sparks, you can also see smoke coming off the floor. It would not surprise me to see the Ferraris facing a too small skidblock after the race (much like Hamilton and Leclerc in '23, Russell in Spa, etc.)
So, it seems I was right about the Ferraris running too close to the ground...
