You shouldn't worry too much RasputinLives . If you indeed sat your test in the 1900's it's perfectly normal your memory should start playing tricks on you.
I'm not sure how relevant it is but McLaren's long term test driver has just retired. Could Magunssen slip into that role for a season or two if Button is retained.
I think Mclaren have covered their bases because Alonso has 2 years plus 1 year option but also has a walk out clause
So K Mag will be promoted in 2016 if one or the other goes
Is HOnda thinking of buying Caterham who have 3 interested parties and I think that might work as a junior team with Mclaren as the hold up was apparent indecision about 3rd car and supporting small teams
However Jenson could always think about going back to Williams
How do you know that those are the terms of the contract that has been signed? From the stuff I've read it sounds more like a confirmed two year deal..
It's not quite over yet. We still have the excitement of finding out if Caterham can make it on to the grid next year and if the ashes of Marussia can rise, Phoenix like from the flames and magically return as well.
Without that, we could have started next years fantasy F1 before Christmas
That's what I would say as well. Somehow I feel that this will be Jenson's last "hurrah" in F1 with an honors even, amicable retirement at the end of the year.
I know it sounds daft predicting the end of someones career on the same day it's been extended but I think that's what everyone will have in mind.
