Not a great debut by Mansell there.

I suspect that's the end of Team Mansell's race for this year.

According to Radio LeMans, he got out of the car on his own and is okay, but the team has withdrawn the entry; their race is done. :(

BTW, on the Speed broadcast, they showed the BMW art car being wheeled into the garage.......... :o :o :o

Noooooooooooooooo! :disappointed:

Sad but true...........they haven't withdrawn the entry, though, so maybe there's hope we'll see the car out still.......... :( :o :o

One of the Peugeots' has got tire issues.........it looked as though it was laying down a smokescreen all along the Mulsanne Straight. Hopefully they'll make it to pitlane before the tire starts shedding both rubber and bodywork............ :o :givemestrength:

Whatever happened must be worse than first thought...........the #3 Peugeot Sport entry w/Pedro Lamy in the car has been wheeled into the garage.........a grievous blow to the French Lions but can the boys from Ingolstadt capitalize on it?

I managed to catch some of it yesterday evening but the night shift I find isn't that great to watch on TV as there's not much to see.

Except for a few hours yesterday when it was either, (a)watch the sometimes spotty Speed online feed or, (b)listen to the Radio LeMans feed and hear one of the most pompous announcers--; I mean, listen to John Hindhaugh over the internets, pretty much. 8-) :o :givemestrength: :givemestrength: :givemestrength:

Only 2 weekends a year do I pull these kind of overnighters, Brogan.............the weekend of the Rolex 24 and the weekend of LeMans. :givemestrength: :o

As for this year's LeMans..............while I'm a bit sad that my sentimental favorites in GT1 didn't win(the #61 Matech Competition Ford GT, a/k/a the Swiss Misses), seeing Peugeot battle Audi in LMP1 made up for it. I did feel sorry for Corvette Racing, especially after seeing Anthony Davidson in one of the Peugeots run the #64 Corvette off the road............if I were Davidson, I'd stay far away from the Corvette squad as possible.........

Now looking very much like an Audi 1,2,3 with the No.1 Peugeot Having retired with a few hours to go making it a clean sweep of retirements for the works team.

I did find a Peugeot feed to watch and whilst it was centered entirely on that team and mostly in French, the onboard footage was immense even at night.

ANother casualty was an unfortunate pigeon that met the windscreen of the No.1 Peugeot at incredible speed just before it's retirement which was totally unrelated.

That's fairly disastrous for the Peugeot works team having all 3 cars retire.
Were they all due to engine failures?

Going off both my notes, the SpeedChannel broadcast and the ACO's retirement list, the #3 Peugeot had a suspension failure, while both the #2 and #1 Peugeots' suffered engine failures.

And the #4 Peugeot, the ORECA Matmut Peugeot, just saw its' engine go into French BBQ mode...............Sacre Bleu!!! :o :o :o :o
