I have no direct experience with Muvic and or Malware on Windows 8.1. (I should stop at this point as my advise probably is not helpful )

However I've been able to get rid of other "toolbars" by uninstalling and re-installing Chrome.

Window 8 ****ed me off so much I binned it and went back to windows 7 It is a superior system..

As for your problem recovery didn't work because it doesn't alter the registry it just fixed it a complete reinstal making sure you delete both patricians and format the drive will solve the problem..

I have solved it. I made a USB recovery drive. Changed the BIOS priority and booted from the USB then reinstalled windows using the replace everything option.
All updates have run and no sign of Muvic. Nailed the bastard.
