I quite like the "Sky Pad" but only from a nerdy techy point of view.
It's like watching those movies from years ago when they throw images and video onto the main portion of the screen

AD and the other, pointless one I couldn't care less for though.

Hmmm, perhaps they should get Tom Cruise to do it, as he did in the movie Minority Report

The Sky Pad thing probably doesn't suit F1 as much as it does sports like football and rugby, where you can look at another angle and point out positioning and tactical minutae, as Gary Neville does to great effect on Monday Night Football.

For SSF1, they don't gather their own pictures or have a lot to say that two guys in the pits with a video couldn't. I presume, not having seen it much, it's more interesting when they give Kravitz a technical moment on Fridays than a posse of Le Mans drivers telling us obvious stuff.
