Current Sir Lewis Carl Davidson Hamilton MBE

A place to put all the posts from all the other threads primarily but love him or hate him, and even for the indifferent amongst us this is the place to discuss the marmite that is Lewis Hamilton, to learn a thing or two about his rise, talk about those controversial, genius or mad moments and something that i am bemused by, the recent articles that suggest something quite different to my perception of what's going on. Any experiences of meeting LH?

Brundle had to write a Lewis Hamilton article recently and in my tweets (which were probably ignored) I asked him to talk about LH the driver not LH the personality. It seems that you can't have one without the other.

So as a starter for ten, here is a fairly recent LH article. Posts should not be limited to this link but it can get some discussion going. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula_one/13755883.stm

The only banned topic as it is clearly ridiculous involves these four things "Glock" "2008" "Brazil" "conspiracy"

That was a really nice little vid'. Great to see such a good mix of young guys and gals. That's got to be good for the future of motor sport.

Nostalgic. This is one of my favourite circuits. The long 270 degree turn one is flat out in a Club100 kart if the conditions are right and you have the cahones and a good line. That video makes me long for home and the championship I'd be racing in, were I there.

Hammy saying he had a glazed brake disc which compromised his braking on the last run but due credit to Rosberg on yet another pole. It's strange how Hamilton has become the yard stick to measure other drivers against isn't it?

Currently the fastest driver in the fastest car. That said it looks like Rosberg is growing stronger in every department.

I hope Lewis's string of bad luck will end. In 2012 I won the local karting championship then in 2013 I had so many random breakages or bad things happening that I finished 4th. This year I have won 8 out of 9 races. I am running all the same equipment, so what is the difference? Luck, pure and simple

Lewis is GQ sportsman of the year. Well done chap.

I will be disrespectful to Lewis Hamilton though; well, actually not him, but his tailor.... After all, a dinner jacket is supposed to be demure and understated... It's not supposed to be "Blingin"... You're allowed silk on the lapels, but in a single shade of black, and a single tape of silk up the side of the trousers. Anything else is just vulgar. Don't get me started on velvet bowties either!!! ;) And trainers... With a dinner jacket.... ARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!!!!

Demure:

If you wear a dinner suit, you must wear a bowtie:

You've come to an awards ceremony, dress up!

Dinner suits are supposed to be black!

Don't wear trainers!

Blimey The Artist..... ! It's GQ not the Oscars!

You'd go apeshit at the wedding I went to last week in Spain, a few of the English guys wore open collar and shorts. And don't get mad now but my friend at his own wedding in Italy didn't wear a du du duuuuhhhh... TIE!!!!

As someone who knows absolutely nothing about the etiquette of dressing in any way shape or form, I can still say that the idea of a camouflage suit is as stupid as it is ridiculous.
