I don't think he is the wrong champion. I think that Vettel and Red Bull fully deserve the driver's title, which they achieved together. Had McLaren performed at the same level or had Ferrari produced a better car then we could say that Alonso/Ferrari deserved it or Hamilton/McLaren deserved it... but they didn't. Based on all facets of driver and team performance it is absolutely right that Vettel won the driver's title with his team.

No offence, but that comment is just daft.

You can pick out several moments in any season where the titles been close and say "The winning driver should thank a team.driver for doing this or that".

Well Vettel went along with the set up in the first place with his own team so he should well know - high downforce means less straightline speed usually because of more drag...so really its pathetic of him complaining about it
