I suppose an even more insurmountable problem would be that the course is too short - the lap record is about 65 seconds for an indy car - F1 cars would probably be under a minute nowadays

Why does there have to be a certain time length with circuits? All circuits nowadays seem to be between 1:20-1:50. I personally wouldn't mind a shorter circuit, they can just add more laps.
