Gaming F1 2011

Nobody believes that Geth! Nobody wants to be drinking this early with you! Just waiting for everyone else, why don't you get an xbox and join us? If you don't already have one!

I got a PS3 for Xmas, by bluffing the wife that it was the best way to get a Blu-Ray player. Having used the "it's the only way we'll be able to watch F1 this season" ploy to score a 1 Terrybight Sky HD box in late February I think it'll be some time before an Xbox finds its way into the house.
I will not be drinking early, i only stopped 7 hours ago.

You got the wrong console!
And I'm going for the strategy, 2 laps working on set-up, start on fresh options and hopefully lead into turn 1 again!

Quiet race for me this week. Started on pole and managed to retain my lead into the first turn this time, unlike last week. Managed to keep clear of Westy & Jos' battle being a few seconds ahead on my first stint then about 10 seconds behind after I pitted first. Towards the end Westy started to catch me up on his options but as I'd already built a reasonable lead in clear air he couldn't get close enough to challenge for the lead in the few laps reamaining and I brought the car home in 1st.

Nowhere near as quiet for me as always, qually was balanced between the boat race and I had two laps to work on my setup but set no time so i could start on new options. Race day and I started 4th and last, 4 man race today Geth our resident licence payer, sometimes i wish we record these races! 5 lights went out and I took off like a lightning bolt and went to go in the middle of Chreden and Westy, I made it, tight fit but I was up to second and wanted a look down Viscount knowing that if I didn't get him on the first lap i wouldnt get him at all, so I went looking but I could never quite get past, and fell behind as he stretched out to gap me consistently. Then in P2 I had pressure from behind as Westy was closing in but I managed to keep the gap to just over1 second but chose to stay out a lap longed than I should have due to the condition of my tyres, but they were falling off the cliff and i was losing grip allowing Westy to close in to around 2 tenths when I rolled into the pits losing time due to a bad pit in speed, and I came out infront of the lonely looking Chreden. It was then push to get out ahead of Westy but he managed to jump me and keep me behind for the rest of the race on his options! The standings look like this:
1. Bushi 75pts (3/5)
2. Viscount 72pts (4/5)
3. Jos the Boss 68pts (5/5)
4. Westy 51pts (3/5)
5. Chreden 27pts (2/5)
6. Slyboody 0pts (0/5)

Saturday's contest had a great deal of action for the spectators. That is if you discounted "Sebastian" Viscount who lead from pole. Jos had a fantastic start in his McLaren and stormed into second and looked to be pressuring Viscount for the lead. This attack didn't last long as the Sauber sailed off into the distance never to be troubled for the remainder or the race. I then went to work on Jos for second but this attack was also fruitless as his times were very consistent. My race engineer supplied me with the lap times that I needed to set to get past, and even when I got close enough Jos was able to find the speed he needed to maintain his position. Jos also made his tires work very well (Hamilton could use some lessons!), but the pit stops is where I knew I had to make the move. Jos peeled off into the pits and I turned up the wick on my engine to put in a strong in lap. The Mercedes team did a great job and had me out in front of the McLaren.

At this point Viscounts lead was too big for me to mount any serious challenge so I just went to work on lap times. A great race from all involved. Monaco should be full of adventure and excitement next weekend!

Yeah, no for sure it didn't really go very well for me, but I got points for turning up so that's good. Car setup could have been better for sure, because I don't think I could have gone much faster without spinning off. I was a few seconds off in qualifying even after going on to options - I was on for a better lap but made a mistake and didn't have enough fuel for another attempt.

In the race I was passed at the start and just fell back from there, eventually finishing a long way off the lead. Not really much to talk about, as I barely saw anybody. Hopefully next week will go better, but it's Monaco so I predict lots of bouncing off the walls!

That's a genius idea Sly! Right at Rascasse when someone is coming through, and I shall just 'lose control' and maybe add some Senna, driving around the circuit slowly holding everyone up!

Alas lads, I will not be able to attend this weeks meet. Going fishing with my father in law. any chance of postponing the event or rescheduling?

Nah, I've missed several races and no rescheduling has been done.

It would be unfair, I would feel victimised, starting to feel its because I'm black and white, OW! Hee Hee!
