Keep things the same then, if it's worked for 3 years, why change it?
I feel rather guilty, as it was voting for myself that opened this particular can of worms - I understood that "own-votes" would be discounted in the event of a tie, and there was no tie in the case in question...
I just wanted some pointless fun, but that wasn't an option apparently
