Let me morph into to the mind of Luis Perez-Sala... yes it appears that even though English is his second language he is aware of the connection shared between HRT and Hormone Replacement Therapy and he also currently has a hankering for some Jaffa Cakes!

Joking aside, it's likely. It's strange how they're not even called Hispania Racing Team anymore, they're just HRT on the constructors list now.

Really he actually knows that?

In terms of laps there are two both of 2 lap margins listed n good ol' Wiki:
Jackie Stewart over Bruce McLaren, 1969 Spanish GP
Damon Hill over Olivier Panis, 1995 Australian GP.
F1technical agrees with regard to the '69 Spanish GP so it was probably that one. However, neither source mentions a time difference.

Comparing the two races in terms of distance Adelaide in '95 was the shorter at 3.780 km against 3.791 km. The race laps were also quicker at Adelaide - fastest lap that race was 1m 17.9 secs. The '69 Montjuic race fastest lap was 1m 28.3. That probably explains why F1 Tech' regard the Stewart/McLaren gap as the record.

tooncheese is probably right with the 1958 GP, Moss over Hawthorn (5m 12.73 sec).

As a sidenote ... in the 1968 German GP on the Nordschleife, Jackie Stewart won with a time margin of 4m 3.2 sec over Graham Hill. As far as I know that's the biggest margin on that track. I mention it as very few of the F1 races there had gaps more than a minute and most less than 30 seconds which is quite remarkable on such a difficult circuit and it being
over 13 miles in length.

Indeed, in days gone by teams would often start the season with last year's car, either to guarantee reliability or because the opening race was in January. Cars such as the McLaren M23 and Lotus Type 72 had a racing life of several seasons, though they underwent developmental and regulatory changes throughout.
