Who was the only driver ever to win his first race In the WDC?

I know I've phrased the question wrong but that's because I know the answer.

Maybe I will start a thread called Formula Facts....

Giancarlo Baghetti after Passing Gurney at Riems 1961 with 100 metres to go. Including non-championship he won his first four races. You could also include Nino Farina (Britain 1950) and Johnnie Parsons (1950 Indy)

(I did a quiz question on this once before)

I was thinking of Giuseppe Farina who won the the first race of the modern WDC he was also the first world champion not bad considering one of his team mates was the great Fangio.

But I think I should get my FACTS right before I start a thread called Formula Facts :embarrassed:

In the 1950 championship Farina and Fangio won three races each. Farina won because he had only two retirements to Fangio's three, he managed fourth place at Spa. Farina was also classified seventh in France despite retiring with 9 laps to go; Cabatous finished twelve laps down, presumably he had problems during the race. The points were only for the first five places.

If the FIA made a rule saying the exhausts had to exit behind the car, properly behind the car, behind wings, diffusers etc. and point directly backwards and run parralel to the ground so the teams can't use them to blow anything.

Then would they be "blowing" the front wing of the following car?? And would that increase the following cars front downforce or increase the turbulent air effect?

Name the driver who once was classified 23 laps behind the eventual race winner.
Super-dooper bonus question: name the year & the GP.LOL

No no don't answer that I'm just kidding ROFL
