Football All things Football

Our manager tragically lost his recently born son Theo and so has taken leave of absence from City. His assistant has taken over coaching duties for the time being and led the team to a decent 2-0 away win over Boro arresting a run of mediocre results.

It's a really sad situation because Liam Manning has never really been a popular appointment with the supporters and his brand of football is as dull as dishwater at times. He'd been coming under a bit of pressure of late.

The loss of his son puts a hell of a lot of things into perspective but what happens if Chris Hogg, Manning's assistant turns out massively improved performances from the squad?

Talk about kicking a man when he's at rock bottom.

yeah i saw that, last week was such a 💩 week for everyone with george baldock, Steve Bruce & your manager.. its a very tough decision i think they would have to keep him. because bristol city would get such a backlash

it says he likes a high pressing, possession game. so is it possesion for possession sake as sometimes you do see

Oh God yeah, absolutely. He's still got the full confidence of the board. He's going absolutely nowhere.

It just makes you feel absolutely shit as a fan. I can't imagine what kind of hell he's going through.

the cheeky gits at Coventry. £37 for Coventry away, £62 if like me your taking a kid, football ticket prices are ludicrous, it should be £37 to take Parent & Child. any club & we have to include ourselves, as we've seen the outrageous pricing for £41 for the derby, anyone charging over £25 is having a laugh.

they have just signed is it a near billion pound deal a few months ago, its not as if they are strapped for cash these teams.

the cheek to ask for that much money. when its on tv & is 12.30 kick off. is ridiculous

I wonder how longer Pompey will stick with John Mousinho. He did a stunning getting the team promoted but looks out of his depth at Championship level.

losing to Wednesday, deserves the sack FB LOL

yeah football is brutal, promotion changes things very quickly. i worry for you because you had 2 very winnable games & got 0 pts. im very worried for you because 2 tough away games & then preston at home who are on a good run

FB the report on soccer saturday does bode well for you. as reporting on your 47th min equaliser came the quote "Portsmouth have absolutely nothing in this game until...."

i was fascinated by what team wilder put out tonight because he would be lying if he didnt have 1 eye on sunday. because no disrespect we've all got 1 eye on sunday. & its balancing act to put a team out that can win tonight but also leaves us as strong as possible for sunday. that team is still full of quality

i know our fanbase we could get 9pts out of 12. beat you & lose the derby. he will be hated. & ludicrous calls for him to be sack & why did he play midweek, if ..... wasnt injured/suspended we wouldve won. but lose to you & win the derby. he will be lauded as a god. despite the same points return

oh god that reminds me of times under heckingbottom great man & manager. i dont what he was upto in training but felt like we 8 -10 players injured for his whole stint. & since he left the injuries have stopped

happy premier league GIF by Liverpool FC

i dont know how we did that. we were fortunate tonight i was glad for the point in stoppage time. i just wanted to leave unscathed & have our strongest team available for sunday. moore injury & 1-1 was damage limitation. i just it wish didnt take til going 1-0 down. to play with the intensity & tempo that we played in the final 20mins

referee are seemingly cracking down on those "taking 1 for the team" challenges. as thats 3 now ive seen that have been red cards. that player expect a booking
