Alonso also had Hülkenberg's Renault and Ocon's Force India right up his gearbox, unable to pass, for the entire distance, until he got a wonky wheel.

In the short term they can make the DRS zones longer (not possible everywhere), and possibly extend the trigger distance to more than one second too.

Maybe Melbourne will prove to be a one-off. But if not, it'll be interesting to hear Mr. Brawn's thoughts.

Yes.
Changing DRS zones is the least expensive and most simple way
to quickly affect the number of overtaking in this situation.
But Mr. Brawn clearly has his own point of view

I nearly always used to start the season with a 7 as the default score, based on the fact that all my scores would be in the range between 5 (it's F1 and I love it, even at Monaco) and 9 (edge of seat stuff, but there's no such thing as perfection)
My score today, four, tells you more about my expectations than I have the time of patience to put into words. :thankyou:

It will be interesting. I don't believe he's a fan of DRS.

No changes of any consequence can take place within this season. We have been screwed so just cheer up and watch Vettel get his fifth WDC.

Yes agree, nothing will happen this year. If Brawn intervenes I think he'll take a longer term view of the direction he wants things to go.

Why not just allow the car following to use DRS, or just can it, or allow its use anywhere on the circuit?

Forget overtaking, make the races into time trials. Then we will really find out who is best.

La course de la verite as they would say for the Tour de France.

Yes, I do know that the second and the sixth letters of the last word should have a acute accent.

I gave it a 7. I was only that generous because Giovinazzi finally got a drive (albeit in a lowly Sauber), and I consider him a stellar talent.
