Football 2011/12 Football Season

Barcelona are really short of another World Class defender. Not 100 per cent confident with seeing Jaiver Mascherano in defence, especially when their come up against top teams like Real Madrid, Bayern Munich or Inter Milan.

So thats Arsenal through. With Chelsea, Man U and Man City all struggling to get through so far.

Who would have thought of that at the start of the season?
It's feasible that Man U, Man City and Chelski could all play in the Europa league. At least it would make thursday nights interesting.

Oi! LOL

You'd have to make United and Chelsea strong favourites to go through. City though...dear oh dear. There wasn't all this trouble when Spurs were in the CL...

Man ushited with the easiest group by far should be going through comfortably, Man Titty is understandable since they have the hardest group by far, Chelshite are in a bit of a slump, their defence is a bit of a mess and look very average, it's a shame, as I think they are exciting to watch, especially Didier Drogba, why don't they play Essien? They really need to invest in new players, they have no one decent on the bench apart from Torres and Anelka, midfield and defence wise they have no replacements. Why am I even talking about Chelsea? Arsenal are not doing too bad.

As I am a fan of Italian teams (don't ask me why, as I have no clue myself) I would have liked AC Milan to win, I also dislike Barcalona, the team is horrible, the only three players I respect there are Xavi (very underated always liked him), Carlos Puyol do you need to ask why? (ok it's his crazy hair), and David Villa.

It's a shame that the quality of football teams have declined recently, a few years ago, we had a strong AC Milan, Inter Milan, Villareal, Valencia, a strong German team (the team always changes), Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, PSV Eindhoven (how you spell it?), Barcalona, Lyon, and 4 English teams.

Now all that's changed, the only teams that look strong are the two Spanish teams, and two English teams. Am I the only one who says it this way?

Chelsea's core team are past their best, well past in some cases, but true to form they'll get the manager sacked rather than risk being sold or dropped from the team.

Bayern are very good this year. If you want an outsider for the final, they'd be my bet.

Why don't they play Essien?

He's injured Sly!

This is the basic scenario they're dealing with:

Great win for the Dons - 4-3! We dominated in the first half, could have been 4 or 5 ahead, but it was still really tense! If you can, watch the highlights of the game, our first goal (if Barcelona did that, we'd be raving about it) and their last goal (what a screamer) is definitely worth watching.

Also, you've got to love Stuart Hall's match reports on 5live, haven't you? Absolutely brilliant.

WOW - Newcastle drew at Man United!

Have to admit that despite hating them, their flying the flag for the North East brilliantly.

Shame we (BORO) only got a draw at London Road against the Posh.

Imagine if you left early at this game:

Alfreton Town 3-2 Hayes and Yeading

Goals:
Arnold 64 (Alfreton)
Arnold (og) 90+2 (Hayes and Yeading)
Moult 90+4 (Alfreton)
Soares 90+5 (Hayes and Yeading)
Jarman 90+6 (Alfreton)

This is why you should never leave a game early.

Barcelona lost 1-0 away to Getafe. I know it is only a blip, but are Barca starting to lose their grip on power in Spain? They've had a few iffy games this season.
