Several sources are reporting that Leclerc and Ferrari agreed on a contract for 2019, whilst Marchionne was in charge, but the new boss wants to keep Raikkonen. Raikkonen will either retire after the season or Leclerc will receive compensation from Ferrari so that they can keep Raikkonen for another year.

Yes I read that about Leclerc having signed for Ferrari. If he has a contract you'd think it was a done deal but then we all know how many other drivers have had contracts and still not ended up in the car. Based on yesterday it doesn't look like Kimi is ready to retire, I wonder how much Vettel still wants him as his team mate now after yesterday. He sure as hell did him no favours.

Autosprint is saying that Raikkonen was informed during the Monza week end that he won't stay at Ferrari next year and that apparently he's already in talks with a prestigious British team for the 2019 season

There are strong rumours that Williams will run George Russell next year so he's probably worth added to the maybe list. He's British for a British team, A Merc junior(for cheaper engines and gearbox) and on the verge of the F2 title, so is a good fit.

Well I think the attitude over the weekend speaks volumes in that he raced for himself but then again Ferrari are pretty daft seeing all around the opposition are all bloody young drivers and have long term strategy in place so they need to get a move on

Interestingly the Italian media actually praised Hamilton for the win yesterday and were critical of Ferrari for failing to deliver

I wonder when someone will get the knives out for Vettel at Maranello because he was the big loser all weekend in every sense

I can't think of a single prestigious British team in F1 nowadays.
