All I know is that it worked for me and I did restore all the advanced setting in options to default, I don't remember messing about with them but you never know and as it seemed it was only me with the problem it had to be something on my end that was causing it....

And I reset my router as my internet was crawling along and doing this seems to help....

I also made sure that this site was being allowed through my firewall properly, as you may recall I mentioned I had updated to Windows 8 and therefor I had installed the latest Eset node32 smart security suite....
