Head To Head Nico Rosberg vs Lewis Hamilton

Does anyone know if the fire will have an impact on the engine situation? As in one of a Lewis' got torched and hn might not have enough left for the season, and may have to take a grid drop, and it might be at the double points race? I'm curious because I know engines are critical for everyone. Has Lewis just lost one?

It's sad to hear some of the ridiculous conspiracy theories doing the rounds, and it takes away from what a brilliant job Rosberg has done all season. There's also no doubt that Lewis has been unlucky with reliability - although he's also lucky that Rosberg did at least conk out while in the lead at Silverstone.

Lewis has contributed a few times to his own misfortune, and cost himself valuable points - errors in qualifying, and also as I think he said himself, not always hitting his marks in pit stops. All these things add up and frustrate him, meanwhile Nico keeps racking up the points.

Having said that, the buy one get one free final race seems destined to have a say, so it may come down to Merc reliability at Abu Dhabi. If Lewis is less than two wins behind, who knows??

With the Mercedes as dominant as it is, a failure such as this during qualifying, all but guarantees that the team mate will win the race.

Roberg will win the WDC based on his qualifying results and Hamilton's non-results.

How's that? Reliability certainly isn't there, so what happened to Lewis can happen to Rosberg.

Even less to worry about for Lewis. Just because that Merc. is so dominant it would be easy for him to gain places, just like in Hockenheim.

Hope Lewis has a great race akin to hockenheim, though do fear he'll not receive the opportunities in Hungary as he did in Gemany, but will still set up an interesting race.

As for conspiracy, I don't think so, it's similar to Webber vs Vettel, just one of those things, maybe Nico's 2015 may not be as reliable.

Am interested to see if Lewis does come in after 1 lap to put new medium boots on and get rid of the soft option?

Bushi it's not possible to overtake at Hungary as it was at Hokenheim, his only hope for a good points haul ( relative to Rosberg, his competition) will be rain or unreliability on Rosberg's car.

Whilst Hamilton has made a couple of errors they haven't resulted in such catastrophic points losses as his mechanical failures. Three possible race wins( or at least second places) Australia, Canada and Hokenheim and then there's tomorrow which will most likely be a further points loss to Rosberg. His mistake at Silverstone was negated by a superb drive and ultimately by Rosberg's ( only) failure. His mistake at Austria still resulted in second place.
Weather I think is looking dry today with a small chance of a storm . Lewis is running out of races to overcome these issues with his car.

Up until now Rosberg has had less mechanical failures this year, but the year is far from over and Mercedes are a bit unreliable. This means that it's a bit early to conclude that Rosberg will be running away with the championship.

Unfortunately all these mechanical failures have prompted Mercedes to review their procedures and practices. They have stated that these failures are unacceptable and intend to eradicate them. If successful this could make Lewis' job even more difficult. :coffee:

Mercedes - Dieter Zeitsche has come out and said they do not mind who wins the driver's championship whether its Rosberg or Hamilton

:whistle:Pity they thought then getting Schumacher back in 2010 was suppose to guarantee instant success when they could have easily signed the world champion then in their car

As for Hamilton's woes - that does not look good for a German company that suppose to exemplify efficiency and quality
