Current Lewis Hamilton

A place to put all the posts from all the other threads primarily but love him or hate him, and even for the indifferent amongst us this is the place to discuss the marmite that is Lewis Hamilton, to learn a thing or two about his rise, talk about those controversial, genius or mad moments and something that i am bemused by, the recent articles that suggest something quite different to my perception of what's going on. Any experiences of meeting LH?

Brundle had to write a Lewis Hamilton article recently and in my tweets (which were probably ignored) I asked him to talk about LH the driver not LH the personality. It seems that you can't have one without the other.

So as a starter for ten, here is a fairly recent LH article. Posts should not be limited to this link but it can get some discussion going. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula_one/13755883.stm

The only banned topic as it is clearly ridiculous involves these four things "Glock" "2008" "Brazil" "conspiracy"

I can't stand him as a Formula 1 driver, I don't think I've got the energy to not stand him as a singer as well. :D

a talented person is talented in everything...
:-)
His music talant is discussed and deal of taste.
But Hamilton is perfect drivers and his career is evidence it.

Once again, Hamilton proves why he can't ever be considered as a great sportsman. He sods off after he loses, and his remarks about others when they have won are never genuine, he then usually goes on to point out that he had issues. All the complaining today. What was it all about, he no issue, his lap times were as good as those of Bottas.

He's the definition of a man-child.

No Hamberg, if he were a young driver, I'd say he'd mature with time but it doesn't seem like Hamilton ever will mature.

Edit: Did he really say what he said in the interview with Brundle? Wow.

Hamilton is great sportsman.
His career in all series he was participating is evidence it.
Different interpretations of conflict situations, and especially on the part
of people who knowingly negative towards Hamilton are in no way cancel
the achievements that he already has.

olegg Hamilton has achieved a lot in the sport, that isn't in any doubt. I personally can't stand the guy because of his attitude and the way he behaves in the media. Going off in a sulk and not talking to Martin Brundle as he did after the race just shows that up perfectly. To me that sort of behaviour makes him a spoilt brat.

In lewis defence he was hugely angry that he thought he had the pace to win but his title rivals teammate took that away from him & he didn't get the chance to give crowd what they had all came for. For me i wouldve stayed because to appriache 1 of his greatest drives. But it seems he didn't really want to interact with kimi. Or say something with him there

I wouldn't put it past ferrari because historically they are capable but dont believe it was deliberate. Just 1 of those things it can happen to anyone. Interesting that it was the ex 2 time ferrari designer that started the deliberate or incompetence on pitwall

Of course it is easy to judge.
Have you ever tried to answer questions, for example, immediately after the finish of a long race,
or duty smile when you have very different emotions?
The American manner to interview on the finish from cockpit is unusual...
But some times better this reaction like Hamilton now than any hypocritical standard phrase.

Personally, I'm at the point that I feel that the sport would be best served if Mercedes just offered Bottas and Ricciardo drives for 2019... Hamilton would have to move to a lesser team - There's (likely) no seat at Ferrari, and Red Bull tend to appoint from within. As such, he'd find himself looking at Renault, McLaren, or equivalent...

It would certainly make for a more interesting Sunday afternoon!
