Current Lewis Hamilton

A place to put all the posts from all the other threads primarily but love him or hate him, and even for the indifferent amongst us this is the place to discuss the marmite that is Lewis Hamilton, to learn a thing or two about his rise, talk about those controversial, genius or mad moments and something that i am bemused by, the recent articles that suggest something quite different to my perception of what's going on. Any experiences of meeting LH?

Brundle had to write a Lewis Hamilton article recently and in my tweets (which were probably ignored) I asked him to talk about LH the driver not LH the personality. It seems that you can't have one without the other.

So as a starter for ten, here is a fairly recent LH article. Posts should not be limited to this link but it can get some discussion going. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/formula_one/13755883.stm

The only banned topic as it is clearly ridiculous involves these four things "Glock" "2008" "Brazil" "conspiracy"

What in the world was going on with Lewis's front end, and why was it chattering so much under hard braking?

It's been rattling about like an old shopping trolley for 18 months now. Since the dry tyres have a smaller diameter to the wet ones, I wondered whether the resultant drop in ride height was responsible for the skid plates sparking on the ground? Purely my own speculation.

Pastor....ised ....then stuck together with gaffer tape:o:thumbsup:
Lewis looked certain for pole.....but 2nd..... he didn't do a bad job, with a damaged car.8-)

I am pretty sure McLaren changed Hamilton's front wing, it would be a poor mistake not to...

They did change the front wing, but the gaffer tape was put on rhs...damage looked as if PM had scraped along the side of LH car, then cut in front of him.

Funny you should say that.

I noticed today that the McLaren seemed to be the only one which was bottoming out going through Eau Rouge.

Niki Lauda not missing the opportunity to stick the boot in again.

Eddie Jordan also blaming Hamilton, as are all the usual suspects and fans.

It's really becoming tedious how Hamilton constantly receives the blame for every incident he is involved in.

I'm not usually one for conspiracy theories or paranoia, but maybe it is because he's...

But's its not just the pundits who aren't afraid to have a go at Lewis. It's the DRIVERS!

The green light has been given time and again to go above and beyond your driving ability when battling with Lewis.

Without punishment, I don't see how this will abate.

I wasn't listening at the time during the safety car, but what did messrs Brundle and Coulthard have to say on the blame?

I would have said that was really strange as it didn't look like one of those "come together moments".

I think it might be a case of 'fear the monster' - if he is behind, know that he will (try to) overtake very soon and be aware of his record with the stewards - so drivers, officials and pundits justify their actions accordingly.

Lewis is hugely talented and very unlucky (currently and all drivers have their bad times). It's nothing to do with his racial heritage; it is to do with his ability and reputation. A new whipping boy will emerge soon, once everyone realises that Lewis is scuppered for this season.

When we have EJ publically agreeing with a rookie Maldonado who admits 'fighting' on track with Lewis (not in a racing sense) its open season for any driver to bully Lewis with impunity

This is the very first incident in which he has not received any punishnment or reprimand.

I suspect Lewis might have got fairer treatment if he was a race driver in the American deep South in the 1950s
