Thanks Tooncheese. I think the earliest article on his website is on 1925. This track pre dates that, but only just.

(Edit: scrub the above, I've just found mention of the track on his site from an article written by one of his friends)


I think Monthlerey has been the closest guess so far, but not in France obviously!

Do not be ashamed of that FB, you somehow got that this was in Spain. I was pretty confident it was on planet Earth somewhere, but more accurate than that... :dunno:
 
I'd read about it in a brilliant book called Motor Racing's Strangest Races. Can someone else do the honours as, like many, I can't upload files from work.
