Opinions differ, but to say that this won 8 oscars just shows the awards are totally worthless imo.

I particularly liked the sequence with them being tied to ropes and their movements defying the laws of physics.

Gravity was great. A proper saturday morning boys own adventure film. Park reality and enjoy. There were lots and lots of things to like about that film. I want to see more like it.

Like in a morning after a night of drinking and you're not quite awake and not really realize what you are watching. Than I agree.

This happened when I watched Prometheus.

Hailed as a great film, but it was all over the place and very dull to me.

Another film that polarised opinions.

How great can a movie be when it really is only one character (and almost no dialogue) on camera for most of the film?

Can't believe I watched that shite in the cinema.

One character. Zero dialogue, and only a few words at the very beginning. But a good film nonetheless.

Years ago there was a film called Rififi, there was about 45 minutes without any sound whatsoever as the criminals were digging their way into a bank which was, I think, protected by sound sensors. No-one complained, it was totally absorbing.

The trailer for Gravity was enough to put me off. I might watch it with the sound off

It's far more enjoyable that way.

I'm currently sat on the sofa with my little boy cuddled up to me watching The Polar Express for the umpteenth time. It's one of his favorite films.

Some kids films aren't that bad. Disney stuff is usually ok. Cars was watchable and Wall-E was pretty good too. I'm not going to mention Frozen.

4) Mary Poppins

I think I can just about quote every word from all 4.

A guy in my wife's office, his sister in law wrote the songs in Frozen.

She's already working on the songs for Frozen 2.
